Swimming Route on the Šešuvis River
The route in the park starts at Pakoplytis village and ends at Ringiai village, where Akmena flows into the Jūra river. You can continue on the Jūra river route. Akmena is characterized by very sharp turns, fastness (average slope 1.86 m / km), abundant thresholds. It is recommended to swim in the river in spring or autumn, when the water level is high, because in summer it dries out very much and it is difficult to swim. While sailing on the Akmena river, you can admire the beautiful nature, the valleys, which stand out for their unique beauty, and the abundance of cultural heritage values.
